One goal any artist wishes to achieve is to make an image feel alive and active no matter what the subject is. For this project I really wanted the make the lines of the chair look like they are in motion to give the piece that “alive” feel. Unfortunately, those lines were deemed too distracting from the rest of the work, upon further reflection  I agreed. After that, I decided to smooth out the lines to soften the drawing while still giving it the “In motion” look. The shading was also enhanced around the foreground of the chair and the folds of the cloth to help the atmospheric perspective become more prominent through out the work.
